Photochemical Degradation of Aminoazobenzene Disperse Dyes in Ethanolic SolutionPart I: Effect of Concentration, Water, and TemperatureDyestuff Research Laboratories, School of Colour Chemistry and Colour Technology, The University, Bradford, U.K.
Dyestuff Research Laboratories, School of Colour Chemistry and Colour Technology, The University, Bradford, U.K. Irradiation of some aminoazobenzene dyes in ethanolic media indicates an increased rate of fading at low dye concentration, high water concentration, and increased temperature. Rates of fading show a linear relationship with respect to water content below 30% and to temperature between 35° and 65°C.
