Droppings of sizing under the split rods of slasher and loom were analyzed for quantity and fiber content. The effects of moisture content, gum, softener, and add- on on the droppings from cotton and polyester/polynosic warp yarns were investi gated. Correlations of various parameters with tensile properties of sized yarn and warp breakages were obtained.
