The shape of the curve showing the yarn size/yarn tenacity relationship is an important criterion for judging the spinning quality of a textile fiber. This paper suggests an equation for the relationship derived empirically by spinning different qualities of jute fibers into a number of counts. Straight-forward correlation analysis and regression equations relating yarn tenacity to fiber properties are set up at each level of count.
