Kinard Laboratory of Physics and Astronomy, Clemson University, Clemson, South Carolina 29631, U.S.A. The feasibility is considered of describing bond breaking effects in a nonwoven fabric with the computer simulation method. The results of calculations on each of two model fabrics of different sizes are presented. The simulation method successfully describes the response of the fabric to the discontinuous and irreversible bond breaking events. The behavior of both fabrics is virtually identical, indicating that size effects are negligible for this model fabric.
