Reference Standard Wool Tops for Measurement of Fiber Diameter Distribution

The accurate measurement of the distribution of wool fiber diameter in a top using the projection microscope is described. The work is directed towards establishing the best way of generating reference standard tops. The fiber diameters are shown to conform to a lognormal distribution.
