Although elastic warp knitted fabrics occupy an important market sector, very few published papers have reported on the factors that determine their elastic properties. Part I of this series deals with the methods of manufacture and finishing conditions of a range of twill and modified twill fabrics, establishing a test methodology and presenting the raw test data.
