Elastic Properties of Twill and Modified Twill Warp Knitted Elastic Fabrics Part II: Discussion and Assessment of ResultsUniversity of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, Manchester M60 IQD, England
University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, Manchester M60 IQD, England An initial examination of the results generated by the program of fabric testing described in Part I of this series of papers showed no obvious relationship between elongation in either warp or weft direction and the underlying differences in fabric structure. It was necessary to use microscopic and fabric section techniques before the precise mechanism of stretch and stretch control could be explained.
