Textile Inst. 56, T359-T380 (1965)] of an ideal fiber intersecting the cylindrical yarn at all radii with the same (mean) frequency is not accurate and consequently the derived model does not correspondent to reality. This paper introduces a modified model of radial fiber migration in yarns and it is shown that the length of a fiber increases equidistantly with the steps of radius and each fiber in the yarn approximately follows a conical path. The derived theoretical relations were found to be in acceptable agreement with the experimental observations.
